1912 was the year when Matsui was established as a manufacturer of medical, physical, and chemical instruments. Over the years, Matsui has gone through three major milestones, and has grown to be one of the world's leading manufacturers of plastics processing equipment.

The three milestones are:

1961-65: Matsui diversified further into plastic processing equipment, and became a first Japanese manufacturer to develop a full-line FA system for plastics processing.

1986: To enhance its overseas maintenance service, Matsui aggressively expanded its production and service network into 4 countries (U.S., Thai, Singapore, and Korea) in a span of the year.

Now, Matsui is endeavoring further to improve its core competence (the extensive capability of total system engineering and the global maintenance network) backed by IT technology.
