Matsui Mfg. Co., Ltd. was founded in Japan in March, 1912, as a manufacturer of medical and chemical equipment. In 1963, we began manufacturing injection molding equipment and, today, we are the number one manufacturer of industrial drying and pneumatic conveying equipment in Japan.
Since 1912, we have witnessed many momentous events in Japanese history. The economic boom ("Jinmu keikki") following WWII, several oil shocks and the dawning age of automation. Each has affected our business in some way, but also taught us how to channel events into positive steps forward.
Today we are faced with many new challenges, like international trade friction and a stronger yen, but we intend to conquer these as we have in the past.
Both events offered us a rare chance to establish operations abroad. With the introductions of our Elk Grove Village, Illinois international operations branch in 1986 and our Los Angeles, California office in 1990, we are hoping to give the Matsui name a secure foothold in many countries across the globe--most notably the United States.
