SMGL Low-speed, Screen-less Grinder
Issues > Check/Troubleshooting
Capabilities of Granulator weakening. Grinding shapes will not match. Noise during operation
  1. Cutters rotating in reverse
  2. Clamps of feed hopper/cutter chamber not secured
  3. Particles in feed hopper/cutter chamber
  4. Insufficient gap between rotating* cutters and fixed cutter
  5. Fixed cutter or rotating* cutter blades are wearing/chipping

1. Cutters rotating in reverse
If cutters rotate in reverse, forward/backward will reverse, preventing granulating
  1. Check rotating direction of motor by observing fan area.
  2. Negative phase if direction of rotation in reversed. Switch R-phase and T-phase of cord.

2. Clamps of feed hopper/cutter chamber not secured.
  1. Check to see if all clamps are securely tightened.

3. Dust/Particles in feed hopper/cutter chamber.
If there are any dusts or particles (i.e. metal parts), they will interfere with cutters and cause noise.
Always begin work after turning power off!
  1. Remove feed hopper clamps and slowly open hopper to proper size.
  2. Check for dust/particles. Remove if necessary.
