Maintenance Item Frequency Work Details Notes
(1)
Convey Blower
Vacuum Pump
Daily Check to see if there are any noises (esp. metallic types), vibrations or unusually high temperature (above 80 degrees C) during operation.
If there are noises, vibrations or high temperatures, stop the pump immediately and find cause.
Do not operate under the above conditions.
Check the load current (measure) during operation and see if measurement is within specified value. Convey Blower: 3.1/3.7A (50/60 Hz)
Vacuum Pump: 1.85/1.6A (50/60 Hz)
Check the Vacuum Pressuremeter to see if needle is at -0.07MPa or below during operation.
If meter is above -0.07MPa or if drying conditions are poor, start maintenance work on vacuum pump.
(2)
Filter Regulator
Weekly Remove the remaining drain in the bowl of the regulator by pressing the drain valve below the bowl.
Use open can or container to catch drain.
(3)
Air Filter
Remove the remaining drain in the bowl of the filter by removing the case and dispensing
(4)
Line Filter
(Filter Box)

Catridge Filter
Check to see if the filter is clogged or not. If clogged, remove the filter and blow clean, dry air to remove particles.
If the case of the line filters (filter boxes), open the lid of the case, take out the cartridge filters and clean.
* When blowing clean, dry air for cleaning, dust particles will fly in the air. We recommend wearing a mask during cleaning.
* If the filter is clogged, it may lead to convey blower overload runs and decline in convey abilities. Extra caution is required.
Depending on the enviroment of the unit, the dirtiness of the filter may vary. We recommend that inspections and cleaning be done thoroughly.
After inspections, set the filter back to its original position securely.
If badly clogged, replace with new filter.
(5)
Hose and Band
Check to see if the hose is disconnected or if air is leaking or not. Tighten the hose band (or joint parts).
If the hose is damaged badly, replace with new hose.
(6)
Suction Hopper
Monthly or
Every Material
Change
Open the hood, take out the filter (mesh net, multi-holed board) and see if it is clogged or not. If clogged, blow clean dry air to remove particles.

Check to see if the particle adhesion on the in the glass tube is severe. If severe, remove the site glass (glass tube), blow clean dry air to remove particles.
* When blowing clean, dry air for cleaning, dust particles will fly in the air. We recommend wearing a mask during cleaning.
* If the filter is clogged, it may lead to convey blower overload runs and decline in convey abilities. Extra caution is required.
If the particles cannot be removed after blowing clean air, use a sharp-tipped needle.
If the packing is badly worn, deforming, discolored or hardened, replace with new packing.
To avoid deforming the wire mesh filter, use extra caution when handling. Any damage stemming from this may lead to air penetration, causing a decline in conveying.
If deformed, strike with a wooden hammer and rubber hammer. If this does not resolve the problem, replace with new filter.
(7)
Hood Unite
Proximity Switch
Monthly Check to see if each CLOSE proximity switch is functioning normally.
If switches are not functioning normally, repair or replace with new switch.
Do not operate is the CLOSE switch is badly damaged.
(8)
Air Tubes and
Couplings
Check to see if the air tube is work or damaged. Also check each tube connection to see if there is too much suction or air leaks. Tighten each coupling when necessary.
If the air tube or coupling is badly worn, hardened or damaged, replace with new parts.
(9)
Auto Valves
Check to see if the feed valves and dispensing valves function at normal speed. Also check to see if the function check lead switch for the lead valve is functioning normally.
(10)
Thermal Relay
Every 3 Months Check to see if the thermal relays on the MS-1 and MS-2 (vacuum pump) switches are functioning normally.
If relays are not functioning normally, do not operate. Check with your local Matsui service office.
If operating with the safeties damaged, this may lead to damage and accidents to the units. Do not operate with safeties damage.
(11)
Thermostats
Check to see if the thermostat is functioning normally.
(12)
Bolts/Nuts
Every 6 Months Check every bolt and nut for looseness. Tighten if looseness is found.
