DPD-3 Thermal Conduction Vacuum Dryer

Pump Thermal Alarm appears on alarm screen.
  1. Particle caught on running section of the vacuum pump.
  2. Vacuum air filter bowl was full in the drain.
  3. Vacuum pump power cord is disconnected or connections are loose.
  4. The MS-2 switch of the control panel is not functioning normally. Thermal unit also not set at specified value.
  5. Pipes closed in the vacuum air route due to particles.

1. Particle caught on running section of the vacuum pump.
If particles get caught, vacuum pump will be overloaded, causing the pump thermal to trip.
Before starting work, please turn the primary power and power breaker off.
  1. Check the vacuum pump to see if there are no noises or vibrations.
  2. If there is either noise or vibrations, there is a problem with the vacuum pump. Please replace the pump or check with your local Matsui service office.

2. Vacuum air filter bowl was full in the drain.
If air filter is clogged, vacuum pump will be overloaded and cause the pump thermal to trip.
  1. Check the inside of the bowl.
  2. Open the manual valve below the bowl and release the drain. Replace filter if clogged.

3. Vacuum pump power cord is disconnected or connections are loose.
If pump is running on a single phase due to a disconnection or a loose connection, the pump thermal will trip due to an overcurrent.
  1. Check the power cord and connecting sections. If loose, tighten the power connection sections. If disconnected, replace the power cord.

4. The MS-2 switch of the control panel is not functioning normally. Thermal unit also not set at specified value.
Pump Thermal will trip if the MS-2 is defective or if the thermal is set below the specified value.
  1. Check the condition of the MS-2 and the thermal set value.
  2. Set the thermal to the specified value. (1.85/1.6A (50/60 Hz)). If the MS-2 is defective, please replace.

5. Pipes closed in the vacuum air route due to particles.
If the vacuum air route is clogged due to gases and other causes, the pump thermal will trip due to the vacuum pump being overloaded.
  1. Check the pipes of the vacuum route. If there are particles, please remove. If unable to remove, replace the pipes.
