GMC Mold Temperature Controller
Issues > Check/Troubleshooting
Temperature will not decrease (irregular temeperature changes).
  1. Primary Supply Valve is not open.
  2. Heater Conductor (SSR) is not functioning normally.
  3. Sensor is disconnected.
  4. Loss of pressure in pipings.
  5. Solenoid valves are not functioning normally.

1. Primary Supply Valve is not open.
  1. Inspect customer's supplying equipment (primary cooling water).
    • Supply Valve
    • Valves for draining
    • Cooling tower pumps, etc.

    [Point]
    • Fully open valves.
    • Check to see if primary cooling water supply pressure and drain pressure is within specification.
    (References)
    • Supply Pressure: Supply within 0.1MPa~0.3MPa range.
    • Set drain pressure at 0.09MPa or below.
    • Set supply pressure 0.05MPa~0.3MPa higher than drain pressure.
    • But if supply pressure exceeds 0.3MPa, install a pressure-reducing valve.

2. Heater Conductor (SSR) is not functioning normally.
Please have authorized worker perform inspections.
For parts replacements, do not have anyone besides authorized workers or a Matsui service worker perform the work.
  1. Open the Control Panel and check to see if SSR is functioning normally.

    [Point]
Turn the power breaker ON (Power Lamp will blink) and turn the operation switch OFF. If the Heater Conductor is functioning normally, current should not be running to the heater circuits. Use a clamp meter to measure the current in the heater circuits.

3. Sensor is disconnected.
Refers to when sensor wires are disconnected or not installed properly.
  1. If disconnected, ALARM will appear.
MR 98 Panel: "FFFF" will appear on PV display
MR980 Panel: "SENSOR ABNORMAL" will appear on monitor
  2. Check the panel

4. Loss of pressure in pipings.
  1. Expand the outlet of the pipe and change the route of the piping. Install a bypass on the pipes.

5. Solenoid valves are not functioning normally.
  1. Disassemble each solenoid valve, check to see if the core section is not moving because of the scales or if the springs are moving or not.
